In this video I met up with Lucas and his family, who invited Ying and I to their favorite family wanton mee hawker stall in Singapore. We headed over to Tanglin Halt Food Centre, which is one of the oldest hawker areas of Singapore, and we ordered our noodles from Guangzhou Mian Shi Wanton Noodle, a family run shop.
The noodles were slightly chewy, and complemented with an excellent sambal chili sauce, that was not only spicy, but extremely fragrant as well. The noodles along with the wanton dumplings and some small pieces of choy sum, made for a wonderful wanton mee meal in Singapore.

👍👍
Best wonton noodles is in Tanglin
Wow! Asian food is the best.
And now this Tanglin Halt Hawker Center is gonna go bye bye. Last I heard.
I don't like that kind of Cantonese noodles.
Mark you must try Koung's wanton mee at Geylang Lorong 21A next time you are here. The char siew is what I renamed it as charred siew, truly BBQ pork and extra chilli to go, no mistake. Bon appetit Mark
By any chance Lucas is Eric Khoo's son? 🤔😁
Mark this is not the best wantonmee in Singapore!
This place no more. All tear down.
Wanton mee/rice are kind of my favorite while staying SG. Pickeled green chill should accompany,,haha
I doubt if this guy knows anything about wanton noodles.
The char sew is too lean..if we have a bit of fatty pork it would taste better. Sambal is not part of original wanton mee. Pickled green chili is authentic.
In 1995, I ate in a restaurant in 'Weston Stamford' center – and had this dish twice a week … absolutely deeeeeelicious … if I had money, I would take all my friends to Singapore just to eat! Of course, all the street hawker stalls are gone. A lot of changes since 1995. Spicy foods – in 90 degree F temperatures. LOL
That was so nice the whole family came along.
