Welcome to Petchaburi, Thailand, a small city and province in the central region of Thailand. Petchaburi is known for its food that’s on the sweet side, Thai desserts, and palm sugar. I this video, it was my first time to walk around the center of the city of Petchaburi, and we found some rare Thai street food dishes for breakfast.
Khao chae (ข้าวแช่) - 25 THB - One of the most famous dishes to eat in Petchaburi is Khao chae (ข้าวแช่). We tried it from a legendary street food stall across the street from the market called Khoa Chae Ba Ean (ร้านข้าวแช่ป้าเอื้อน). The dish is typically served only during the hot season. It includes rice and water scented with jasmine flowers, and combined with ice cubes. You then eat that ice rice with a variety of sweet candy and savory snacks. It’s a very interesting combination and you’re not sure if it’s a main dish or a dessert.
Khanom jeen sao nam (ขนมจีนซาวน้ำ) - 20 THB - Right around the corner from the khao chae is another equally popular Thai street food stall in Petchaburi that serves a variety of different khanom jeen noodles and curry. One of the dishes they serve that rare to find is called sao nam, a combination of coconut cream, dry shrimp, pineapple, and garlic. It’s an amazing and unique combination.
It was a quick stop in Petchaburi, but I really enjoyed its peaceful charm, and especially the delicious noodles for breakfast.
Thank you for watching, hope you’re having a fantastic day!

I don't know if anyone else has ever commented on this but I am really impressed with how good micah is. A lot of children of his age would be more intrusive or impatient. Of course Ying is responsible for a lot keeping him involved, but he is still a very good boy!
tuyet v ngon thank
I enjoyed the video, getting to know very exotic new foods from a totally different country than mine, the combination of foods that are weird, but somehow look delicious
I’ve watched so many of your videos and there’s no way I could sit in any of those little plastic kids chairs I’ll be on the ground immediately
I'm your fun from pillipines,
Good morning ser,
When the video started I thought “Mark grew a beard and dyed it green!” Then my glasses started working!
The best always
The best things in life is the simplest way of making it. Food is in the stomach of the beholder.
MARK THE WAY YOU CONSUME STREET FOOD IS THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT OF ENJOYING SIMPLE HOMEMADE FOOD MADE THROUGH GENERATIONS OF TRADITIONAL PREPARATION.
That was a really cool video, did you know that the flavor you enjoy so much in the jackfruit is the same flavor that they use in the juicy fruit gum?
The “ahhhh” between sentences kills me 🙃
It’s wonderful that Micah is experiencing this adventure. He is a lucky and blessed kid. This will give him an appreciation for other cultures.
Once Mark find out that they have chilies in the container. He order another bowl. He has a big appetite and he really enjoying the foods especially with chillies and he is very respectful with the elders and always say thank you 🙏 Micah love the jackfruit, he’s so cute 🥰
I love how clean the streets are
