On Day 16 of our travel and food tour of Bhutan we had an amazing Bhutanese breakfast, took a hike, visited another village for lunch, and stayed at a local home farm stay.
Gangtay Nature Trail - In the morning we took a hike to see black necked cranes. The views of Phobjikha Valley were spectacular.
Yangkha Dem Farmhouse - We drove over to another village and stopped for lunch at another farm house. Some of the Bhutanese dishes we ate included lom - turnip leaves, ezay - any kind of chili sauce or chili pickle, and shamu datshi - mushrooms and cheese.
Phub Lham Farmhouse - At the end of the day, we checked into another farm house home stay in Phobjikha Valley, Bhutan to spend the night.

Bhutan series my all time favorite their food and environment i really like watched again and again since many years
These home cooked meals seem like simple but delicious. In this cold environment, the heavy, hot flavors from chili and cheese and fat can be a special temptation. May be it’s not a good idea to eat everyday, but interesting for traveling.
This dish are how we normally serve to guests,of course we eat different vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, eggplants and many more. And it will also depend on season you are coming to Bhutan.

I learnt something new today … didn't know that you could eat oats with curries as a savoury meal. Also, will be sure to try making the cheesy mushrooms. Love that we not only get to know what foods each ethnicity in each country eats, we also get a free tour of the place as if we personally went there on holiday too. Thank you once again Mark for the outstanding experiences, foods and travels 😀👌

I know this is out of place comment and it's maybe only me but sometimes im bothered when every food is eaten with hands.. thinkin more in logical and practical sense its like he chasing the plate hh not to be insultive of any tradition of course. 🙂
