In this Czech food tour of Prague, we mostly focus on the meat eating culture - and you’ll find some seriously good meat and beer when you’re in Czech Republic! #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood
Thanks to Peter (https://www.instagram.com/petrkcz/) for taking me around, we had an amazing time eating!
Naše Maso - When I asked you all on social media where to eat in Prague, one of the top recommendations was Naše Maso, a butcher shop, with a restaurant. From what I read, the owner was tired of the lack of quality meat products in Czech Republic, and decided to do something about it - by sourcing good quality fresh meats, and preparing the best quality meat products. So while many people buy their meat directly from the butcher - everything from steaks to hotdogs - there is a small restaurant within the butchery. We ordered the steak tartare (some of the best I’ve ever had), Czech meatloaf, and there’s no way you want to leave without trying their hotdogs.
VNITROBLOCK - On our way to the next restaurant, we stopped for some coffee at a very artistic industrial style coffee shop called VNITROBLOCK.
Na Pekárně - And finally to end the day for our final meal, we drove about 30 minutes outside of the city to a Czech food restaurant that has as much character as it is delicious. Chef specializes in game meats, and he enjoys serving customers shot and beers, as you’ll find out. Along with all the other dishes, the one Czech food you don’t want to miss is Svíčková - Must-eat in Czech Republic! Thanks to Taste of Prague (https://www.instagram.com/tasteofprague/) for this recommendation! Total price - 955 CZK ($41.09)
It was another great, laid back, day in Prague, and full of character!

meat jam!? lmao
My grandparents on my mom's side were from the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, they were peasants and couldn't eat like this until they came to the US, legally. When my grandma arrived at Ellis Island she was 5'8" and weighed 100 pounds.
Tipsy Mark Wiens is my spirit animal.
When you start dreaming about that hot dog snap you had day before, you are half Czech already. The other half is beer.
Carmal isn't a word. It's CARAMEL!
I want to go to Prague for the first time next year. For the beautiful architecture and nice shops and streets. But after seeing your video I understand that I have to go to Prague especially for the culinary. You are a real Burgundian, just like me. I can't wait, that food all looks delicious.
Chiffele cu mustar de tecuci facut in cada😂😂
Peter just looking at him the whole time like 👀
Mark, it amazes me how much you can eat.
The svíčková sauce look too much liquid, which is typical for svíčková sauce from restaurant. Try to get invite into somebody's home for the true svíčková experience.
You are playing with your life, calling that master piece of a sausage a HOT DOG! 😂
I like meat as much as the next person, but the future, as well as our health must lie in, eating more vegetables and fruit. Do your bit, Sir, by future videos, giving greater prominence to veggies.
Post war Europe including Czech had a real shortage of meat.and even prior to that meat was not in abundance unless you were wealthy or a farmer. Hence the huge history of sausage making a little go further. Hence the big sausage history. They must import meat now from the States?
Prague Wiens
YUM YUM Candle sauce!!
Svíčková je best 😀
Recently that 955Kc is not possible anymore. If I go out for dinner with my girlfriend we easily reach the 1000Kc. And doing nothing crazy.
Did he say “Gay meat” ?
What he really mean? Which animal meat it is?
