SHIRAZ, IRAN - Shiraz is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Iran, and once you get there you will immediately know why. The architecture, ancient history, the kindness of the people, and the delicious Iranian food, all contribute to making it such a special city. In this ultimate Iranian food tour of Shiraz, we will eat the most iconic foods of Shiraz, from street food to faloodeh, to home cooking!
Breakfast in Shiraz - Ash Sabzi, which is a porridge of lamb, beans, and tarragon, is a staple of Iranian breakfast, and the best of the best is in Shiraz. It’s a special dish, it’s filling, and it’s incredibly tasty. We went to the right place, it was packed and they sell about 1000 kilos of ash sabzi per day. We also tried their haleem - Porridge of lamb and wheat - that was different from any other versions I’ve ever had. Delicious way to begin this food tour.
Nasir-ol-molk Mosque - The Pink Mosque - One of the most magnificent sights in Shiraz is the Nasir-ol-molk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque. The decorations, mosaics, and light, will make you stand in awe.
Jamshidian Lemon Juice, Shiraz, Iran - Shirazi Faloodeh - Persian dessert since 400 BC! There’s no way you can go to Shiraz and miss out on Shirazi faloodeh, a dessert that’s popular now around the world, but started in Shiraz. And we tried an original version.
Tomb of Hafez - Shiraz, Iran - Next up on this ultimate tour of Shiraz, Iran, we visited the Tomb of Hafez, a famous poet. The traditional Persian gardens are spectacular.
Parhami Traditional House (https://www.instagram.com/parhami_traditional_house/)'>https://www.instagram.com/parhami_traditional_house/) - This was a real treat of a meal - a home cooked traditional Shiraz food meal at Parhami Traditional House. The food and hospitality were on the next level. Here are some of the main dishes we tried:
Kalam Polo Shirazi - Persian cabbage rice
Ghormeh Sabzi - Persian herb stew
Ghanbar Polo - Rice, meatballs, nuts and dried fruit
Koofteh Sabzi Shirazi - Herb and vegetable balls
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special, and to everyone we met in Shiraz, Iran!
Thank you to Ghasr Setareh (https://www.instagram.com/ghasr_setareh/) for arranging our trip to Iran.

This is trademark Asian food. 0% garnish, 100% flavor.

They use rose water and orange blossom a great deal in beverages & desserts, but I don’t see them in the landscaping. I wonder why. No pomegranate trees either.

The food looks amazing! The descriptions and the ingredients sound so good! I know I would love this food! From the lamb, chickpeas, lentils, beans, aubergine, rice, sour orange, mint, cinnamon, raisons, walnuts, pomegranate syrup, tarragon to the garnish of fresh leaves & radishes, and the salad of tomatoes, mint, cucumber, tarragon – oh my, I wish I could try it all now! And the flat bread! I would love it all!
Thank you Mark, for showing us this beautiful country , the people and their amazing mosques, Persian rugs, and architecture!

Thank you for coming to Iran
But that flag is the flag of the dictator's mullahs, not the flag of the Iranian people

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Iran Ziba says:

The people of Iran are different from the mullahs, and they are fighting against the dictatorship government (Islamic Republic of Mullahs)

There's a Mexican restaurant here, in my city of Kansas City, MO, that sells pozole and menudo to customers to take home in their own pots. By weight. You can barely get a meal on Sundays because of people bringing in their own pots to take home. IT'S BEAUTIFUL!! ❤

Thank you all again for your incredible support and concern about us traveling. This video series in Iran was filmed back in December 2019 before the virus outbreak. We are at home in Thailand now, staying indoors. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected in Iran and around the world, and please take precautions and keep healthy 🙏🙏
